CDAD's mission is to enhance the capacity and effectiveness of Detroit Community Development Corporations (CDCs) through training opportunities, technical assistance, information sharing, advocacy, etc.
Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM)
CEDAM is a voluntary association of community development corporations (CDCs), individuals, and other organizations interested in promoting and expanding community-based housing and economic development across the state of Michigan.
CEDAM’s efforts as it relates to the foreclosure crisis include neighborhood stabilization efforts and education. In addition, CEDAM provides training, technical assistance and policy advocacy by tracking legislation at the state, federal, and in certain cases, local levels on behalf of the state's nonprofit affordable housing and community development organizations.
CEDAM also staffs the Michigan Foreclosure Task Force.
Community Legal Resources
Community Legal Resources, with the assistance of private attorneys, provides pro bono legal representation to Michigan nonprofit organizations that are working with disadvantaged communities and individuals and are unable to pay for traditional legal services.
Detroit Area Community Indicator System (D-ACIS)
D-ACIS is a comprehensive regional data collection, analysis and delivery system that will address a broad variety of issues and conditions facing Detroit and the region.
Detroit HOPE
Detroit H.O.P.E.’s goal is to improve the quality of life for residents, businesses, and organizations in Detroit. They promote homeownership and provide homebuyer education, financial management education, home maintenance training, foreclosure prevention counseling and national foreclosure mitigation counseling.
Detroit Local Investment Support Corporation
The Detroit Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) develops strategic relationships that serve as the catalyst to empower neighborhood developers, using financial and technological resources to build economically viable neighborhoods.
Detroit Vacant Property Campaign
The Detroit Vacant Property Campaign (DVPC) is an initiative of Detroit Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and is led by Community Legal Resources (CLR).
DVPC works to provide policy development and analysis, technical assistance, and legal resources to reduce the negative effects of vacant property and enhance the future of Detroit’s neighborhoods.
Fannie Mae
Fannie Mae is a government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) chartered by Congress with a mission to provide liquidity, stability and affordability to the U.S. housing and mortgage markets.
Fannie Mae operates in the U.S. secondary mortgage market. Rather than making home loans directly to consumers, they work with mortgage bankers, brokers and other primary mortgage market partners to help ensure they have funds to lend to homebuyers at affordable rates.
They fund their mortgage investments primarily by issuing debt securities in the domestic and international capital markets.
HOPE NOW is an alliance between HUD certified non-profit counselors, mortgage companies, investors and other mortgage market participants to maximize outreach efforts to at-risk homeowners and help them stay in their homes.
Michigan Foreclosure Task Force
The Michigan Foreclosure Task Force is a statewide clearinghouse and unified voice to keep families in their homes. The Task Force is also focused on addressing the impacts of concentrated foreclosures on neighborhoods across the state.

The Michigan Interfaith Trust Fund works to foster social and economic justice to reduce, and someday-even close, that divide.
